Its story is closely connected to Amir Temur and the cultural exchange of his time. When he brought skilled artisans from Iraq to Uzbekistan, they introduced their embroidery techniques to local craftsmen. Uzbek masters learned from them, adapted the techniques and passed them down through generations. Today, Iroqi remains a living craft practiced by local Uzbek artisans.
