Craft & Culture is a Tashkent-based cultural experience company offering hands-on artisan workshops and guided cultural tours across Uzbekistan. We connect travelers with master craftspeople and authentic local culture in Tashkent, Samarkand, Bukhara, and beyond.
Our guides speak English and Russian fluently. Some tours also have Uzbek-speaking guides available. All workshop instructions can be provided in English, Russian, or Uzbek.

Comfortable clothes you don't mind getting a little dirty! Clay and dyes can stain, so avoid wearing your best outfit. We provide aprons for pottery and painting workshops. Closed-toe shoes are recommended.
No experience is needed — all our workshops are beginner-friendly. Our master artisans are experienced teachers who guide you step-by-step. From pottery to embroidery, you'll create something beautiful regardless of skill level.
For most workshops like painting, bread-making, and textile crafts — yes, you take your creation home the same day. For pottery, pieces need to be fired in a kiln which takes 2–3 days. We can arrange shipping of pottery internationally.
Tour prices include your guide, all entrance fees to sites mentioned in the itinerary, and transportation between locations. Meals are not included unless specifically stated. Hotel accommodation is separate unless you book a package.
The most comfortable option is the Afrosiyob high-speed train (2.5 hours Tashkent–Samarkand, 4 hours to Bukhara). We can include train tickets in your booking or advise on the best options. Shared taxis are also available and faster but less comfortable.
Citizens of most countries including the EU, UK, USA, and many others can enter Uzbekistan visa-free for up to 30 days. We recommend checking the latest entry requirements on the official Uzbekistan e-visa portal as policies can change.
The best seasons are spring (April–May) and autumn (September–October) when temperatures are mild and comfortable for exploring. Summers can be very hot (40°C+) and winters cold. We operate year-round and can advise on the best experiences for each season.
