Your journey begins with a hands-on bread-making workshop, where you’ll discover the deep cultural importance of non (traditional Uzbek bread). Under the guidance of a local baker, learn how the dough is shaped, stamped with beautiful decorative patterns, and baked in a traditional clay tandoor oven. Each guest will prepare and decorate their own loaf before placing it inside the tandoor. Once ready, enjoy the warm bread fresh from the oven, served with golden mountain honey and rich Uzbek kaymak cream — a true taste of Uzbek hospitality.
After the workshop, continue to the legendary Chorsu Bazaar, one of Central Asia’s most vibrant and historic markets. Wander through the colorful maze of stalls beneath its famous turquoise dome while learning about the bazaar’s history from the Silk Road era to modern-day Tashkent. Along the way, taste local specialties such as kurut (dried cheese balls), dried fruits, and nuts while discovering the ingredients that shape Uzbek cuisine. As you explore the market, you’ll also see the incredible variety of breads from different regions of Uzbekistan, each with its own distinctive shape, stamp, and story — reflecting centuries of tradition. This experience is a rich blend of food, culture, and storytelling, offering a deeper connection to the culinary heritage of Uzbekistan.
